Can certain cartoons cause ADD in children?

Cartoons start getting crazy in the 90's. Ren and Stimpy, Ed edd and eddy, and some others I can't think of at the moment. All I know is that some of the cartoons have lots of snots and drool on them. From time to time, you see eyes rolling out or popping out by eye vessels, bright colors, rapid movements, and rapid sounds. I ask this question because I have a nephew who is very hyper. I know it's normal for a little boy at the age of 6 to be active. My Nephew watches a lot of crazy cartoons with hyper music and movements. He has adapted to acting "fast". It's gotten to the point where he can't pay attention in class and zips around making random sounds.
