Are eddy bear hamsters hard to tame?

hi, the best way i have found to tame my hammies was to sit in an empty bath with them for about 20 to 30 mins a few times a week for about one week and then theyll do anything for you. this always works for me and then afterward they are as tame as anything. also watermelon is fine for them, they also love carrots, apples and grapes.
