What do i do with my guinea pig?
I have had two guinea pigs for about 4 years now, but just today one of them died. He was in the age range of the life expectancy of his species. I believe that the cause of his death was a combination of his relatively old age and the sudden turn of weather we have had in England, it has gone from moderatelycold to pretty hot and he may have overheated and not had time to adjust to the new climate. But Eddy's death (the guinea pigs death) leaves me in a dilema, i am still in school and don't have that much spare time to give special attention to Ed (the live guinea pig) because he used to happily play with Eddy and i would spend a little time with them daily. So i am left with ths one guinea pig who is currently living alone, and i do not want to get another guinea pig to accompany him because i am 14 years old and plan to go to university, meaning my parents will be left to care for my new guinea pig (something that they are reluctant to do). So my question is will Ed be alright on his own? Or will he need to be re-homed?
